Recipe Ginger Sticks

 

Nutrition aspects

Morning sickness (nausea and vomiting) is a common problem among many pregnant women during early part of pregnancy. Ginger sticks help control nausea.

 

Ingredients

1. Water: 3 cups
2. Fresh Ginger Root: 1/2 pound
3. Fresh Lime/Lemon Juice: 1/2 cup
4. Sugar: 2 Tablespoons
4. Salt: 1/8 teaspoon or to taste

 

Method

Step 1: Prepare Ginger
Wash and scrape of the skin off the ginger root. Cut it it in to thin strips resembling old wooden matchsticks. Bring the water to a boil. Add ginger sticks. Bring it a boil. Shut off heat and remove ginger. This step also helps to sanitize the ginger.
Step 2: Combine Ginger sticks and rest of the ingredients.
