Home care and remedy for Acne scars

Acne scars are caused by loss of collagen. We need to eat foods for healthy collagen. Proper diet and daily topical care is needed.

 

Diet

1. Drink plenty of water

2. Foods for healthy collagen

Egg whites, Wheat germ, low fat milk

Skinless chicken. Avoid red meats such as beef, goat, lamb

Peanuts, Cholay, Rajma, Moong Dal, Urad Dal

Khichri (made of Brown basmati rice and ski-on split Moong Dal

Amla, Oranges, Tomatoes, Green bell pepper, Red bell pepper

Garlic

Green tea

Jamun, Phalsa, Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, plums, cherries.

 

3. Eat foods high in omega 3 fatty acids.

The best source is fish. For vegetarians, you may eat Flaxseeds, Walnuts, and Pistachios.

 

4. Vitamin E

The best source is wheat germ, and almonds.

 

Daily Topical skin care

We need to develop a daily regiment to exfoliate skin and apply blemish removers as well as collagen promoters. This daily routine should start producing visible benefits in about 5 days.  Lemon juice, Rosehip seed oil, and Lavender oil help lighten up acne blemishes.

 

You must learn how to do a facial massage Facial Massage. Exfoliates, and collagen promoters should be massaged in, and not rubbed in. Spread the paste to be applied in the palms of both the hands. Smear the paste on the entire face. Now, use index finger and middle finger for massage.  Apply light pressure strokes in circular motion. Always massage upward  towards the head. It is also called anti gravity stroke. The other stroke is outward from the nose towards the cheeks in wiping motion.

 

Evening Regiment 3 step care

1. Exfoliate skin

Make a paste of  Yogurt, and Honey. Apply the paste to your face and lightly massage it in for about 3 to 5 minutes. Wait about 15 minutes. Wash and rinse off.

2. Blemish remover and Vitamin C

Prepare a solution of fresh lime juice and fresh cucumber juice (75% lime juice, 25% cucumber juice). Apply this solution with a cotton swab to the blemishes. Let it stay to dry out about 10 minutes. Wash and rinse.

You should avoid applying lime juice and expose your skin to sun light for extended time period.

3. Collagen builder

Egg whites are the best source of amino acid to help promote collagen. In addition, you need Vitamin C. Make a paste of egg white and either flesh of pineapple or kiwi. Apply to face. Massage it in for 5 minutes and let it stay for 20 minutes. Wash and rinse.

 

Morning Regiment 2 step Care

1. Exfoliate skin

Make a paste of Baking soda and water. Apply the paste to your face and lightly massage it in for about 3 minutes. Wait about 5 minutes. Wash and rinse off.

2. Vitamin E, C

Prepare a mix with equal parts Almond oil, Rosehip seed oil, and Aloe vera. Apply a few drops and massage it in for about 3 minutes. Wash and rinse off.
