Low-fat Tofu Chili Vegan RecipeThis is a high protein Tex-Mex style chili made with Tofu for Vegetarians and Vegans Ingredients1. Canola oil: 2 teaspoons 4. Firm or Extra firm tofu (14 oz Package) crumbled: 1 5. Oregano: 1 teaspoon 7. Cayenne pepper: 1 teaspoon or to taste 9. Red crushed peppers to taste 10. Chili powder (Spice blend for American Mexican Chili dish): 1 Tablespoon 11. Red Kidney beans (15 oz) can: 1 drained 12. Chick peas (15 oz) can: 1 drained 13. Red Bell Peppers: 1 Cored and sliced 14. Tomato Juice: 2 Cups
Method1. Heat Canola oil in a non-stick pan. Add chopped onions, sauté onions till clear. 3. Add Tofu. Sauté till it starts to turn brown 4. Cover. Turn down heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.
