Lo Cal Punjabi Limaigrette Salad Dressing Recipe

It is a simple salad dressing similar to Vinaigrettes, except Lime juice is used in place of Vinegar. In Punjab region, fresh onions, garlic and peppers are ground and mixed with Lime juice and salt to dressing sliced seedless cucumbers.

The key to the taste and texture is fresh onion juice. The easiest way to extract onion juice is to grate it. Collect most of the juice and some bits of onions.

 

Ingredients

1. Splenda: 1 teaspoon
2. Fresh Garlic Cloves: 2 Peeled and minced
3. Fresh Red Onion Juice: 2 teaspoons
4. Sea Salt: ½ teaspoon or to taste
5. Cayenne Pepper Powder: ¼ teaspoon or to taste

6. Fresh Lime Juice: ¼ cup

7. Canola Oil: 3 Tablespoons

8. Extra virgin olive oil: 1 Tablespoon


Method

1. Add ingredients 1 through 5 in a mixing bowl and mix well with a whisk.

2. Add lime juice and whisk.

3. Add Canola oil and whisk.

4. Add Olive oil and whisk.
