Raw Food Day for Weight lossSet one day a week to eat raw fresh fruits and vegetables. It helps you reduce body toxins and balance digestive enzymes The raw food day lasts 36 hours, from 8 pm night before to 8 am day after.
DAY'S ROUTINE- In the morning drink one cup of warm boiled or bottled water with juice of half lemon and optionally some honey. - Drink minimum of 6 cups of chlorine-free plain water ('boiled and cooled' tap water, or bottled water). - Eat minimum 2 cups of Raw Green Vegetable Soup Recipe - Drink minimum one cup of cranberry juice - Drink minimum two cups of homemade lemonade (Bottled water + Juice of fresh Lemons + optionally Honey) - Eat at least 3 different varieties of fruits and vegetables (Example: Apples, Spinach, Tomatoes) - Do not adhere to 3 main meals (Breakfast Lunch Dinner). Eat or drink some thing every 90 minutes to two hours. - Do Not eat within 3 hours of bed time.
FOODS ALLOWEDDo not starve yourself. You are allowed to eat any amount of 'FOODS ALLOWED'. - Fresh Raw Fruits and Vegetables Apples, Artichokes, Avocados, Beets (Roots Stem Green), Bell Peppers (Green, Red, Purple), Black berries, Blue berries, Broccoli, Cabbage, Cantaloupe, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Cranberry, Cucumbers, Grapefruits, Grapes, Guava, Honeydew, Kiwi, Lemon, Lettuce, Lime, Onion, Oranges, Papaya (un-ripened), Pears, Pineapples (un-ripened), Pomegranate, Radish, Raspberries, Squash, Seaweed, Spinach, Tomatoes, Watermelon, Any Greens Do not use any commercial dips or dressings. You may sprinkle Cinnamon over cut up fruits You may make a salad and use 'Homemade Vinaigrette Dressing' - Sprouted beans and grains (Moong bean sprouts, Oat sprouts...) - A typical selection will include: Apples, Avocados, Broccoli, Cucumber, Grapefruits, Green Bell Pepper, Spinach, Tomatoes- Herbs and Spices Raw Garlic, Fresh Ginger root, Onions, Fresh Cilantro, Fresh Parsley leaves, Cinnamon, Cloves, Nutmeg, Dried Hot Cayenne Pepper - Chlorine-free Water. You can use either 'boiled tap water' or bottled water - Fresh fruits should be used whenever possible. Juices in cardboard paper or plastic containers may be used, example: Cranberry juice. - Green tea - White tea - Homemade Vinaigrette Dressing 1. Balsamic or Apple cider vinegar: 2 Tablespoons 2. Olive Oil: 2 Tablespoons 3. Fresh Ginger minced or finally chopped: 1 teaspoon 4. Fresh Garlic minced or finally chopped: 1 teaspoon 5. Cinnamon: Pinch 6. Cayenne pepper ground: Pinch NO SALT. NO SWEETENER Mix in a bowl and whisk
FOOD NOT ALLOWED- Bananas, Green peas, Potatoes, Yams - Fruits with large seed/pit/stone: Apricots, Cherries, Mangoes, Peaches, Plums - Meats, Fish, Eggs, Refined foods, Dairy products, Alcohol, Sugar, Salt, Nuts, Dried fruits - Do not use juice in tins or metal cans - Coffee - Soda beverages - Salt - Sugar, Sugar substitutes, High fructose Corn syrup
WARNING FRUITS AND JUICESGrapefruit and Pomegranate are very good. But these fruits and fruit juices may interact with some prescription medications
HEALTH & NUTRITION WARNINGThis is NOT a balanced diet. This is a low calorie, low protein, and low fat diet for one day a week only. This is not a typical raw food diet that includes Nuts and Bean for proteins and fats. Protein are most difficult to metabolize. Therefore, foods high in proteins (Meats, Fish, Eggs, Dairy, Nuts, Seeds) have been excluded for this day. |
