Trail Mix (Mewa) Recipe

High Calorie snacks suitable for weight gain program

 
Ingredients

Nuts Mixture

1. Almonds: ¼ cup

2. Cashew halves: ¼ cup
3. Broken walnuts: ¼ cup
4. Hulled sunflower seeds: ¼ cup

5. Salt: Pinch

Dried Fruits

1. Raisins: ¼ cup
2. Chopped slices of dried mangoes: ¼ cup
3. Chopped spears of dried papayas: ¼ cup
4. Banana chips: ¼ cup

Method

1. Preheat oven to 350º F. In a no-stick cookie sheet, add ingredients 1 through 4. Mix and spread out evenly. Bake for 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Sprinkle salt over hot nuts and let them cool to room temperature.

2. Add dried fruits to roasted nuts in a mixing bowl. Toss around.

3. Fill a quart size jar with the trail mix and secure the lid tightly.
