Thank You Notes

Thank you notes are an essential etiquettes in American culture. If it is your wedding, you will receive gifts before wedding, at the wedding, the wedding reception, and even after the wedding. Get yourself a journal. Whenever you open a gift, write down the description of the gift and the name of the persons who gave you the gift.
You must send the Thank you note, within two weeks after receiving the gift, except for the gifts received on the wedding day. You may acknowledge the gifts received on the wedding day in up to 30 days from receiving the gift.
The Thank you notes are normally sent out by the bride. If you choose, the Thank you notes may be sent out by both the bride and the groom in a joint name.
