Garam Masala General Purpose Recipe

 

This is a general purpose Garam Masala sold by most of the manufacturers.

 

As a rule, a set of 'whole spices' are individually dry roasted. The dry roasted spices are ground together.

I am using powdered spices as they are readily available available in stores. Mix and sift them. Thereafter, you can dry roast them before use.

How to make Garam Masala?

 

Ingredients

1. Coriander powder: 2 teaspoon
2. Cumin Powder: 5 teaspoon
3. Cardamom powder: 1 teaspoon

4. Ground Cinnamon: 1 teaspoon

5. Black Pepper: 1 teaspoon

6. Ground Cloves: ¾  teaspoon

7. Fennel powder: ¾ teaspoon
8. Ground Bay leaves: ¼ teaspoon
9. Ground Nutmeg: ¼  teaspoon

 

Yield: 4 Tablespoons

Method

Mix all powders well and sift.
