Salmon Tikki (Curried Salmon Patty) Recipe

Made with Fresh salmon onions garlic ginger bread crumbs and curry spices

You can use almost any type of fish, even crab.

 

Ingredients

1. Salmon: 1 pound
2. Finely chopped onions: 1½ Cup
3. Minced Garlic: 1 Tablespoon
4. Finely chopped fresh ginger: 1"
5. Salt
6. Cayenne powder: ¼ teaspoon
7. Cumin powder: 1 teaspoon
8. Cinnamon powder: ¼ teaspoon
9. Clove powder: pinch
10. Kasoori Patta (Dried Fenugreek leafs): 1 teaspoon
11. Bread crumbs: ¼ Cup
12. Eggs: 2 Large
13. Ghee: ½ Cup

Method

Step 1: Steam cook salmon. Remove skin, and bones if any. With a Fork mash salmon.
Step 2: Add ingredients 2 through 10
Step 3: Beat eggs
Step 4: Add eggs and mix. The mixture should not be too wet or too dry.
Step 5: Make it into about 2" round balls. Flatten them into a patty type shape. Should make about 12 to 15 patties.
Step 6: Heat a heavy griddle. Put about a table spoon of Ghee. Put about 3 patties at a time. Cook on medium heat till brown about 5 minutes. Turn over, cook another two to five minutes till brown. Repeat till all patties are cooked.
