Honey Roasted AlmondsYou need un-blanched almonds. We will prepare a solution of spices, that needs to be taken in by the skin of the almonds. After the solution has worked through the skin, we will roast the almonds in the oven
Ingredients1. Un-blanched whole almonds: 2 Cups 2. Sugar: ¼ cup 3. Salt: ½ teaspoon 4. Honey: 2 Tablespoons 5. Water: 2 Tablespoons 6. Canola oil: 2 Tablespoons
Method1. Combine all the ingredients except the almonds in a heavy bottom pan. Turn on heat. Stir to mix ingredients. Heat till the mixture is bubbly hot. 2. Add the Almonds. Keep stirring on high heat till all the moisture is gone. It will take about 5 minutes. 3. Transfer the contents to a cookie sheet. Spread them out evenly on the baking pan. 4. Preheat over to 300ºF. 5. Bake for 25 minutes. 6. Remove and let it cool to room temperature. |
