Choosing Fish Oil supplement (Omega 3)

Fish oil supplements contain oils from cold water fish such as mackerel, salmon, black cod, albacore tuna, sardines, and herring. Do not use Cod liver oil, it has high levels of Vitamin A. Fish oil supplements are taken as a source of Omega 3.

Amount of Oil

The basic purpose to intake oil supplement is to get about 220 mg of EPA, and 240 mg of DHA per day. 

 

Quality

Make sure that the label clearly states 'molecularly distilled'. The process ensures removal of mercury, heavy metals, and Poly Chlorinated Biphenyls (PCB).

Choose major brand name to ensure good quality product.
