Tandoori Lamb Chops RecipeLamb chops marinated in Tandoori style marinate and baked in oven
Ingredients1. Lamb chops Rib cut 1 to 1½" thick: 2 pounds 2. Marinade 1). Plain regular Dahi Yogurt: ¾ cup 2). Degi Mirch (Paprika): 1 Tablespoon 3). Ground Cayenne: ½ teaspoon 4). Ground Mace: ¼ teaspoon 5). Ground Nutmeg: ¼ teaspoon 6). Green Cardamom seed powdered: ¼ teaspoon 7). Garam Masala: 1 Tablespoon 8). Dry roasted ground Cumin seeds: 1 Tablespoon 9). Garlic cloves, Minced: 8 10). Fresh Ginger, finely chopped: 3"x1" 11). Serrano, finely chopped: 1 12). Fresh Cilantro, finely chopped: ¼ cup 13). Green Papaya paste: 2 Tablespoon (Optional0 14). Apple cider vinegar: 2 Tablespoons 15). Juice of one large Lime 16). Fine sea-salt: 1 teaspoon 17). Peanut oil: 2 Tablespoons 3. Baste 1). Melted Butter: 3 Tablespoons
MethodStep 1. Prepare Marinade 1). Hang yogurt in a strainer lined with a folder cheese cloth to let moisture drain out for two hour 2). Mix remaining ingredients Step 2 Marinade Chops 1). Cut 3 to 4 deep long gashes in each rib chop. 2). Put chops in a large non-reactive container 3). Pour Marinade over chops. Use fingers to work marinade into chops 4). Cover container with plastic film. Refrigerate overnight Step 3 Bake 1). Pre-heat oven to 550º F. 2). Line a baking pan with Aluminum foil. 3). Remove the chops from marinate. Arrange chops in a single layer, Bake for 15 minutes 4). Remove the baking pan from the oven. Don't turn off the oven 5). Let the chops at room temperature for 5 minutes. 6). Turn the chops over. Baste with melted butter. Return to the oven. Bake 10 to 15 minutes till done |
