Raita - BananasBanana Raita is a common sweet dish. Sometimes, fresh whole seedless grapes are also stirred in along with the bananas. In the traditional recipe, the Dahi yogurt is hung in the muslin cloth for about two hours to remove some whey. To save time, I have added sour cream to get the same consistency. Choose bananas that are fully ripe with a few brown spots.
Ingredients1. Dahi Natural Yogurt: ¾ Cup 2. Sour cream: ¼ Cup 3. Honey or Corn Syrup: 2 Tablespoons 4. Saffron strands: 3 4. Bananas: 2
MethodStep 1Mix Dahi, Sour cream and Honey together and beat with a fork to form a paste. Stir in saffron strands. Step 2Peel bananas. Slice them thin about the thickness of a Silver dollar coin. Step 3Stir sliced bananas in the yogurt mixture. Store in refrigerator. |
