Instant Rice Pilaf 30 minute recipe

Made with Instant or Minute rice saffron baby peas

 

Ingredients

Prep Saffron

1. Saffron 4 strands

2. Water for Saffron: ¼ cup water

Base Broth

3. Canola oil: 2 Tablespoons
4. Finely chopped onions: ½ cup

5. Salt: ¼ teaspoon

6. Water: 2 Cups

7. Bay leaf: 1

Main Dish

8. Thawed peas: ½ cups

9. Instant / Minute Rice: 1 cups

 

 

Method

Step 1 Saffron water

Heat ¼ cup water near 130ºF. Soak saffron strands and set aside. You may warm the water in microwave oven for 20 seconds.

 

Step 2 Base Broth 

1. Add Cooking oil to the pan. Start heat. When oil is hot, add onions, and salt. Sauté till onions start turning brown. 

2. Add water, bay leaf and Saffron water. Bring it to a boil

 

Step 5 Main dish

1. Add peas. Bring to a boil. Shut off heat

2. Add rice. Coven the pan. Wait 5 minutes
