Hurry Frozen CheeseThe Indian Paneer resembles the Ricotta Cheese in United States. Ricotta cheese has similar texture but not same density. If you buy Paneer, Make about ¾" cubes. For each cup of Ricotta Cheese, you need the following dry ingredients: All Purpose flour: 1 Tablespoon Self Rising All Purpose flour: 1 Tablespoon Salt: Pinch The self-rising flour makes the the balls to puff up. We don't want them to puff up too much, or not puff up at all. So, I use half the self-rising flour and half regular all purpose flour. 3. Mix Ricotta cheese and dry ingredients like kneading like a dough. Let it rest 15 minutes. 4. Pinch and make small balls about ½" diameter Step 2: Deep FryPreheat deep fryer to 350º F. Fry the balls till slightly golden brown (about 2 minutes). If you don't have a deep fryer, heat oil in a deep pan, and fry the balls. Step 3: Store FreezeLet the balls cool to room temperature. Some of the balls may seem like they are collapsing. Don't worry about it. After the balls are cold put them in bags and freeze. |
