Cholay 'Garbanzo beans' Curry 30 minute recipe

Made with canned Garbanzo beans. Fresh Ginger is the key to happiness in this recipe

 

Ingredients

1. Garbanzo bean cans: 1

2. Serrano: 1

3. Fresh Ginger: 1"

4. Fresh Cilantro: ¼ Cup
5. Canola Oil: 1 Tablespoon

6. Hurry Curry Powder : ½ teaspoon

7. Salt: to taste
8. Hurry Curry Tomato Sauce : ½ Cup
9. Instant coffee: ¼ teaspoon
10. Water: ½ Cup

11. Amchoor: ½ teaspoon

 

Method

Step 1: Food Prep

Garbanzo beans: Drain and rinse. Take out about 4 Tablespoons of Garbanzo beans and smash them with a fork into almost a paste leaving the rest of the beans as they are.

Serrano: Wash and chop. Remove seeds and white membrane to reduce heat if desired.

Ginger: Peel and chop

Step 2: Sauté / Cook

1. In a heavy bottom pan add all ingredients except Amchoor and chopped Cilantro. Bring it to a boil. Cover pan. Cook on simmer for 15 minutes. Adjust spices.

2. Stir in Amchoor and chopped cilantro. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
