Detoxification for chronic heartburn

This is a 6 day detoxification program to cleanse digestive system and establish good enzymes for chronic heartburn relief

 

Day 1 and Day 2

Eat fresh apples and apple juice

 

Days 3, 4

- Eat un-cooked (raw) fresh fruits and vegetables (cauliflower, celery, carrots)

Cauliflower is included as a source of Choline

- Eat whole-grain brown rice ½ cup three times per day

Brown Rice bran contains Gamma-oryzanol helpful against heartburn

- Aloe Vera juice, two cups (no aloin, and no aloe-emodin) three times a day between meals

 

Day 5

- Add Baked White potato or Baked Sweet potato

- Add digestive enzymes (Papaya, Pineapple Kiwi)

- Add egg yolk of one hard boiled egg. Egg yolk provides B-vitamins and compounds to help with chronic heart burn. If you do not eat eggs, take a B-Vitamin supplement and a Choline supplement

- Add one slice of whole-grain whole-wheat bread, or a Roti

 

Day 6

- Add one cup of yogurt with live culture every day

- Add more Alkaline foods (Carrots, Raw Spinach, Cabbage)

- Add high potassium foods (Banana, or Lima Beans)

- Add digestive enzyme (one cup of enzyme rich fruit Papaya, Pineapple, Kiwi)

- You may discontinue Aloe Vera Juice.

 

Day 7 onwards

- Add high fiber, high potassium, and Alkaline foods

- Eliminate or limit eating foods high in fats, fried food

- Avoid your trigger foods
