Salsa Chutney Style Fusion Recipe

This Salsa recipe is like a combination of two Indian dishes: Kachumbar and Cilantro Chatni.

The produce is finely chopped like a Kachumbar, with Chutney like spices.

Green Chutney | Kachumbar Recipe

 

Ingredients

Produce

1. Chopped Onions: 2 Cups

2. Plum Tomatoes Chopped: 3 Cups

Cut Tomatoes in half. Discard seeds and green seed coat to reduce water
3. Sweet Bell pepper (cored, throw away seeds and white membranes): 1
4. Serrano or Jalapeño pepper (Remove seeds and white membrane to reduce heat to your taste): 2
5. Fresh Cilantro leaf: 1 Cup
6. Fresh Garlic: 8 Cloves
7. Fresh Ginger (peeled): 1 Inch

Dressing

8. Ground Cumin Powder: 1 teaspoon
9. Sugar: 1½ teaspoon
10. Sea Salt: 2  teaspoons
11. Lime Juice: 3 Tablespoons

 

Method

Produce

1. Put all the ingredients in a food processor.

2. Do NOT use continuous mode. Use Pulse mode to chop everything to coarse.

Dressing

3. Mix ingredients and use whist to mix together

Assembly and aging

4. Mix dressing and produce. Toss well.

5. Remove the contents and store in refrigerator for about 4 hours to let all the flavors to blend in
