Bajra Double-Roti Fusion RecipeDouble Roti in Hindi refers to western leavened slicing bread. This bread uses combination of Millet flour (Bajra) and Whole wheat flour (Atta). Ingredients1. Whole wheat flour (Atta): 2 cups 2. Pearl Millet flour (Bajra Atta): 1¾ Cup 3. Salt: 1½ teaspoon
4. Active Dry Yeast (.25 oz) pack: 1
7. Milk: ¾ cup 8. Brown sugar: 2 Tablespoons 9. Melted Butter: 2 Tablespoons
Method1. Mix Dry yeast, white sugar and warm water. Let it stand for 10 minutes. 2. Mix milk, brown sugar, and Melted butter. Add to yeast mixture. 3. Mix Wheat Atta, Bajra Atta and salt. Sieve. 4. Make a mound of dry ingredients and make a well. Add liquids to make dough. Knead about 10 minutes. Gather dough into a ball. Cover with damp kitchen towel or plastic film wrap and let it stand in a warm place for about one hour or till it doubles in volume. 11. Punch dough and knead about five minutes. Re wrap and let it stand in a warm place till it doubles in volume again, about one hour. 12. Pre heat oven to 450ºF 13. Grease a 9x13 baking pan. Transfer dough in to the pan. Bake it for 50 minutes. 14. Let it cool. |
