Omega 3 Fatty acids Health Benefits

Omega 3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fatty acids. There are three types of Omega 3 acids: ALA (Alpha-liolenic acid) ALA, EPA (Eicosapentanoic acid) EPA, and DHA (Docosahexanoic acid). The ALA is 'essential' and can not be made by the body. ALA must be obtained from diet. The Body may synthesize ALA to EPA, and EPA to DHA, this may not be an efficient process. The efficient form would be to obtain all the three omega3 fatty acids from the diet.
