What are Thermogenic foods?

Thermogenic foods raise the basal metabolism (resting - no physical activity) rate

 

These are the magic foods every body is looking for, that will increase the rate to burn calories without exercise. Example of Thermogenic foods are: Green tea, Black tea, Hot red peppers, Ginger, and Coffee

Green tea and Black tea contains epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG). EGCG

increases Thermogenesis. Green teas has 5 times more EGCG than black tea. One cup of Green tea can increase metabolism by 4%.

 

Some one is always selling an extract from another Thermogenic food or combination of Thermogenic foods so you can lose weight while asleep. The reality is that Thermogenic foods help you only on the margins, not sufficient to do noticeable job on their own.
