Should I take vitamin supplements? There is no need to take supplements if your eating a balanced diet consisting of 1,600 or more calories per day. You must consider taking supplements if you are eating less than 1,200 calories per day.
Amount and type of supplements depend on your age, gender, daily caloric intake.
If your calorie intake is planned for near 1,650 calories per day, I would recommend taking supplements as an assurance. 1. Take one Omega 3 supplement after breakfast with one cup of water. This should contain about 250 mg of DHA and EPA each 2. Take one Multi-vitamin and Mineral supplement after dinner with one cup of water 3. Do not take supplements on empty stomach |
