Should I go on a starvation diet?

When you starve yourself, the body goes into survival mode conserving fats for energy for future needs. For current energy needs it uses water carbohydrates and muscle mass.

There are three basic reasons why one should not go on a starvation diet.

1) Your metabolism threshold will change and you will gain more weight after the starvation diet

2) You want to lose fat and not muscle mass. With starvation, you are likely to lose muscle mass

3) Lack of proper nutrition may result in other health problems.
