How often should I eat?Do NOT allow yourself to get hungry during day. You need to spread caloric intake through out the day and maintain blood glucose peaks and valleys in check.
Eat five to six times per day to distribute calories. The meal schedule may be planned with following goals 1. Eat breakfast within 2 hours after waking-up 2. Allow 2½ to 3½ hours in between each meal 3. Allow about 5 to 6 hours in between each major meal: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Typical schedule will look like following 6:00 am Wake-up 6:00 am to 6:10 am Freshen up 6: 10 am drink water 6:10 am to 6: 30 am Fifteen minute work out 6:30 am 7:00 am Rest time 7:00 am to 7:20 am Breakfast 10:00 am Morning Snack 12:30 to 1:00 pm Lunch 3:30 pm Noon Snack 6:30 to 7:00 pm Dinner 9:30 pm night snack |
