Should I avoid deep-fried foods?

Fried foods are high calorie and un-healthy. Must be avoided for weight loss progarm

1. Evan part of good fats become transfats at high heat during frying. Transfats are harmful regardless of dieting.

2. When the foods are deep-fried in oil or Ghee, the medium is absorbed in the food increasing calories. Example French fries.

3. Some foods are wrapped in a pastry shell (Khol) and deep fried. The example is Samosa. The pastry shell is made with cutting shortening and flour, increasing calories. During frying the pastry shell absorbs the oil further increasing the calories. This is the worst type of deep fried food for dieting

4. .Some foods are dipped in a batter and deep fried. The examples are Pakora. The batters may contain flour eggs sugar yogurt. The batters add calories. During frying, the batters absorb oils increasing the calories further.

5. Fried foods are normally eaten with condiments/dips further increasing the calories.

Tandoori Chicken breast: 3.5 grams fat approximately

Skinless boneless chicken is marinated, brushed lightly with oil and roasted in Tandoor

 

Southern Fried Chicken breast: 18 grams fat approximately

Chicken with skin is coated with a batter made with butter milk and deep-fried or pan-fried.
