How to store Garlic?

Garlic should be stored in a cool and dry place

Temperatures below 55º F will impact the taste of garlic. Therefore the garlic is neither stored in the refrigerator, nor the freezer.
Traditionally, the garlic bulbs are tied together forming a garland and hung in the basement.
