How to store Bananas?

The bananas sold in United States are either green or just partially ripened

After buying the bananas, they should be left at room temperature in a brown bag till they are ripe. If you wish, you can quicken the ripening process .
As the bananas are ripened, you can store the ripened bananas in the refrigerator. The cooler temperature will stop them from ripening any further. Unfortunately, the cold temperature will change the color of the skin to dark brown. This dark brown color does not change the texture or the taste of the bananas. Just peel off the skin and use the bananas.
