What are Carbohydrates (Carbs)?

There are two types of Carbs: Simple and Complex. The main source of Simple Carbs is Refined Sugar. The major source of Complex Carbs is Atta, Dal, Brown Rice, vegetables and fruits. Complex Carbs are digested at a lower pace then Simple Carbs. The Complex Carbs also have Fiber . There are two types of Fiber; soluble and insoluble. Soluble fiber releases the nutrients slowly into the system. and give a feeling of being full. The insoluble fiber  adds to the bulk of the stool. Fiber can not be digested and is passed out as stool after the food has been digested.
The simple Carbs should be minimized. On average, 21 to 38 grams of dietary fiber is need for an average adult.
