How much caffeine in regular and decaffeinated coffee? |
||
| Before the beans are roasted, Arabica beans have about 1% caffeine, and Robusta beans about 2% caffeine by weight. On average, a cup of regular espresso has 90 to 120 mg caffeine. Modern decaffeination process removes about 98% caffeine, resulting in about 3mg of caffeine in a cup of coffee. The flavor of coffee depends on the roast and not on the amount of caffeine. | ||
