How to remove stains from marble?Marble is a porous stone. It soaks up oils, spilled foods such as curry. Normally, the marble tiles are ground finished, polished and the surface sealed. Still, the floors and counter tops should be cleaned immediately after a spill. The cleaning agents must be neutral such as: Baking Soda, or Hydrogen Peroxide. 1. Make a paste of Baking soda and water. Apply to the stain. Let it stay for 30 minute. Blot with white cloth and water. 2. If the stain is still there, sponge a mix of Hydrogen Peroxide (1 part) and water (7 parts) with a clean white rag. Let it stay for 30 minutes. Every five minutes sponge with Hydrogen Peroxide solution. 3. Blot with white cloth and cool tap water. 4. Seal the clean surface with an appropriate sealer |
