How to remove hard-water buildup?

Hard water stains are removed by a mild acid solution made with white vinegar

The hard-water build is normally lime. You need Phosphoric acid to efficiently dissolve lime. The soda pops such as Coke or Pepsi, contain lime, however they pose the problem of being sticky and the amounts of the acids are very low. Following is a simple acid solution that may be used to clean the hard-water build up.

Acid Solution

Distilled  white vinegar: 1 Cup

Water: 1½ Cup

Salt: 3 Tablespoon

Method

Fill the utensils to be cleaned with the acid solution. Bring it to a boil. Turn off heat, and let it rest for about 4 hours. Rinse and wash.
