How to choose a cutting board for the kitchen? The cutting boards must not absorb food or dul the the knives
Cutting boards effect the sharpness of your knifes. Cutting boards made of Acrylic, Granite, Marble, Synthetic stone or Steel should be avoided.
The best materials are Polyethylene and Polypropylene. These materials are also non-porous to hide harmful bacteria as well as easier to clean.
The second best material is hardwood.
Always, sanitize the cutting board and the knife before use and after use to minimize cross contamination. |
