Exchange List Dal Beans Pulse Group for Diabetes

I have designed this list for vegetarians. Each exchange equals one exchange of 'Starch and breads, and one exchange of meats in carbohydrates and proteins.

You must add some carbohydrates back to adjust caloric in take. See the Table 1 and Table 2 how it is done when formulating a menu

One exchange equals ½ cup of cooked dense beans like Cholay, Rajma, and Whole Ma
One exchange equals 1 cup of cooked soup decorticated split pulses and lentils.
Garbanzo beans Cholay), Red Kidney beans (Rajma), Mung Beans (Moong), Toor (Pigeon peas), Black beans/Matpe (Urad), Lentil (Masoor), Chana (Bengal gram), Moth beans (Moath), Field beans (Val), Yellow Split peas (Vatna), Cow peas (Lobiya).

Cooking notes

In general ¾ cup of dried beans will yield 2 cups of cooked dense beans equaling 4 servings.
