Planning daily menu based on Exchange List for diabetes

Planning involves determining daily caloric needs, picking items from each exchange list and create a menu.

1. Determine your daily caloric intake level. You may do that by using BMI/Energy calculator .
2. Determine the Exchanges required per exchange list from Table 1 . For vegetarians use Table 2 .
3. Prepare a "My daily plan work sheet" . On the Total line, fill out the Exchanges from Table 1 or Table 2 for each exchange group. We have made one sheet for 1,500 caloric intake for you.
4. Now go to exchange list , and pick out the foods you want to eat.
