Sandesh (Indian Cheese cake) Cake Recipe

It is made with Indian cheese called Paneer Sugar and Orange peel

This dessert is originally from Bengal State of India. Creamy orange flavored cheese. It has very few ingredients. It gets easier every time you make it.

 

Ingredients

1. Paneer: 4 Cups
2. Powdered sugar: ½ Cup
3. Orange peel ½" wide 2" long: 1

 

Method

Step 1: Put cheese in a mixing bowl. Beat cheese to a smooth creamy paste.
Step 2 : Add sugar. Beat again to smooth paste..
Step 3: Heat a heavy bottom non-stick pan. Add cheese mixture and the orange peel. On a low heat, start cooking, stirring often. The surface of the mixture will start getting a sheen as the mixture thickens.
Step 4: Transfer the mixture in a greased sheet. Spread out to 1/2" thick. When cool to touch, with a sharp knife, cut into 2" squares. Store in refrigerator. Serve cold.
NOTE: You have to cook the mixture at a very low heat to prevent scorching.
