Chana Dal Halwa Halva (Chickpea Cake) Recipe |

| The dessert is made with 'Desi Chana' (not same as Garbanzo bean), Ghee nuts sugar and milk
This is a common dessert in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Ingredients1. Chana Dal (Split skinless chickpeas): 1 Cup
Method1. Pre-soak Chana Dal in water over-night. If you do not want to presoak, put Chana Dal in water, bring it to a boil. Cook five minutes. Shut off heat. Cover pan and wait about two hours. 2. Drain and rinse. Grind into a paste with minimum water. 3. Heat a heavy bottom pan with Ghee. Add Dal paste. Fry till most of the moisture is gone, and the Dal starts to change color to slightly brown. |
