Grains: 2 ounce; Vegetables: 1½ Cup;  Fruits: 1 Cup, Milk : 2 Cups; Meat/Beans: 3 Ounce; Oils: 3 teaspoon, Discretionary: 171 calories.


Notes

1. If you are 'gluten sensitive', replace wheat products with Bajra, Jowar, Amaranth, or Ragi.

2. If you are 'lactose sensitive', replace dairy milk products with Soybean milk fortified with Calcium.

 

Breakfast

Dalia, Whole bran cereal, or Bajra porridge: ½ cup
Fat free Milk: ½ cup

 

Mid Morning Snack

Fresh Cherries: ½ cup
Fat free Milk: ½ cup

 

Lunch

Meat (Skinless chicken or Fish): 1 oz  OR For Vegetarians: 1 Besan Cheela

Choice of Karela (Bitter Gourd) or Gajar Methi ( Carrots and Fresh Fenugreek leaves)
Cooked Greens: ½ cup

Choice of: Spinach , Mustard Greens, Collard Greens, Beet Greens. If canned vegetables are used, they should be drained to reduce salt.

Night cap
