Methi Paratha (Pan-fried flat bread with Fenugreek leaves) Recipe

Flat North Indian bread made with fresh Fenugreek leaves (Methi Patta), Atta (Wheat bread flour), and Besan (Chickpea flour)

Ingredients

1. Methi Patta: 2 Bunches
2. Besan: 2 Spoons
3. Atta: 2 cups
4. Lal Mirch powder (Hot cayenne ground): To taste
5. Salt: to taste
6. Water:½ cup

 

Method

1. Mix Atta, Besan, Chili powder and salt.
2. Chop Methi Patta and add to flour
3. Add water. Mix and knead to make dough
4. Pinch a part of dough out. Make it into a ball. roll out as a cookie and pan-fry in hot skillet on both sides. Repeat till all the Paratha have been made


Notes:

You can make 3 persons, 2 Paratha each
You can use this dough to make Poori (deep fried flat bread)
Serve Paratha hot with Curry and chatni
