Coriander (Cilantro) Rice Recipe

South Indian Rice with Cilantro (Fresh Coriander) Serrano (Fresh hot chili) Peas and Coconut Submitted by  Hemalatha Anand

Ingredients

1. Coriander leaves: 1 cup
2. Green chilies : 2 or 3
3. Coconut (grated) : ¼ cup
4. Green peas :½ cup (boiled)
5. onion : 1
6. Salt
7. Mustard seeds : 1 Tablespoon
8. oil
9. cooked rice : 2 cups

 
Method

1. Grind to fine paste: coriander leaves, coconut and chilies.

 

2. Heat the oil in the pan and mustard seeds and allow it to crackle.

 

3. Add onions and fry for 1 minute

 

4. Add the grinded mixture, green peas and salt. Fry till the raw smell goes.

 

5. Add the cooked rice and mix well.
