Aam (Mango) Chutney conserve Recipe

Choose firm just ripe but not over-ripened mangoes

Normally the Mango Chutney is made from unripe mangoes in India. In this recipe, we will use the Mangoes normally available in United States.

 

Ingredients

Basic Phase

1. Mangoes cubed: 2 Pound 
2. Onions finely chopped: 1
3. Garlic: 1 Cloves peeled and chopped

4. Ginger 1"x1" peeled and finely chopped

6. Brown Sugar: 1½ Cup 
7. Vinegar: 1 Cup 

8. Cayenne ground: 1 teaspoon 
9. Black Mustard Seeds cracked: 1½ Tablespoons

10. Cinnamon cracked: ½ teaspoon

11. Salt: 1 teaspoon 

Method

Put all the ingredients in a heavy bottom pan. Stir. Turn on heat. Bring it to a boil. Simmer about 60 to 90 minutes or till right consistency has been reached.
