Peanut Chutney RecipeMade with roasted peanuts, fresh hot chili peppers, brown sugar, lime juice oil, and water. Its really very hot chutney. You may want to reduce the number of Serrano. Ingredients1. Roasted Peanuts: ½ Cup, Choose un-salted roasted peanuts NOT Dry Roasted. Remove skin. 2. Serrano: 6, Washed 8. Brown sugar: 1½ Tablespoon 9. Lime juice: 1½ Tablespoon 10. Salt: ½ teaspoon 11. Vegetable oil: 1 Tablespoon (Option, see Note) 12. Water: 1 Tablespoon
MethodBlend all ingredients well in a blender to pulverize. Keep refrigerated.
NOTEIn traditional Indian cooking, no oil is used to make this type of chutney. I have found that adding oil gives it a very nice texture |
