Mooli Lachha (Radish Relish) Recipe

Mooli is a white radish shaped like a large carrot. The Daikon sold in Chinese stores is close. You can also use regular red radishes

 

Ingredients

1. Radish grated coarse: 1 Cup

2. Lime juice: 3 Tablespoons

3. Ginger: 1"

4. Serrano:  1

5. Salt: ¼ teaspoon or to taste

6. Cayenne ground: ¼ teaspoon or to taste

 
Method

Step 1 Prep

1. If using Daikon, wash and scrape, then wash again and grate. If using regular red Radish, wash and grate.

2. Slice Serrano in to thin vertical strips. Remove seeds and white membrane to reduce heat if desired

3. Peel and cut Ginger in to thin long strips

Step 2 Marinate

Combine Lime juice, salt, and Cayenne.

Step 3 Rest

Put prepared ingredients in a glass bowl. Pour the marinate over. Toss till everything is well covered. Let it rest covered in refrigerator for 2 hours
