Ingredients1. Peaches: 1 pound Peeled pitted and cubed 2. Apples: 1 pound peeled cored cubed 3. Pears: 1 pound peeled cored cubed 4. Lemon: 1 Seeded and sliced thin with peel
Syrup1. Water: 2½ Cups 2. Sugar: 3 Pounds 3. Salt: 1/8 teaspoon (pinch) 4. Lime juice: 1 Tablespoon Juice of one fresh Lime 5. Cinnamon stick: 2 (3"x¼" wide). Broken in halves 6. Cloves: 6 Method1. Mix water, salt, lime juice, sugar and cinnamon and cloves. Bring it to a boil. 3. Heat to 220º F or one thread consistency 4. Add fruits. Simmer on low till fruits start to turn tender and translucent. About 10 minutes 5. Turn off heat. Let it cool to room temperature 6. Transfer the contents to sterilized jars. Secure lid tight.
Store in cold dry place. Good for sixty days |
