Apple Banana Chutney RecipeThis is not a Chutney or a Chaat. It is just a zesty curried Apple Banana dish
Ingredients1. Peanut oil: 1Tablespoons 2. Butter: 2 Tablespoon 3. Small onion, finely chopped: 1 4. Curry powder: 1 teaspoon 5. Turmeric powder: ½ teaspoon 6. Sea salt: ¼ teaspoon 7. Cayenne Pepper: ¼ teaspoon 8. Green Tart apple diced ¼" size: 2 cups 9. Banana sliced ¼" thick: ½ cup
Method1. Heat peanut oil and butter in a heavy bottom frying pan. 2. Add onions. Sauté till onions turn translucent, about 4 minutes 3. Add curry powder, Turmeric, Salt, Cayenne pepper. Sauté about one minute 4. Add apples and bananas. Sauté about three minutes. Apples will turn soft around edges, yet the apples remain crisp 5. Turn off heat. Remove the pan from the heat |
