Daily Sample Menu (8 to 11 months) Schedule

This sample menu includes feeding solid foods fruits vegetables cereal and Dal. There is no set rules to feed babies. Every baby will eat on their own pace.

One Food serving is approximately ½ to 1 ounce.

Do not force feed baby.

Chopped cooked vegetables

Sliced soft fruits (banana, avocado, mango)
Thick Dal (Moong, Toor, Chana)

 

 

Early Morning/Wake up

-Breast Milk/ Formula

 

Breakfast

-Breast Milk/ Formula

-Cereal/Grain/Protein: 1 Food serving

Oatmeal Cereal, Rice Cereal or Baby Cereal Pancakes, Oatmeal & Rice Cereal, Egg Yolks and Cheese, Oatmeal Rice, Barley Cereal  Mix 

-Fruit/Vegetable: 2 to 3 Food servings

Blueberries, Bananas, Applesauce, Peaches, Blueberry, 'Apples Banana Mush'

-Dairy: 2 Tablespoons (Optional)

Whole milk Yogurt

 

Lunch

-Breast Milk/ Formula

-Cereal: 1 to 2 Food serving (Optional), High Protein: 1 to 2 Food servings

Chicken and Rice, Beef and Barley, Tofu (mashed) with Wheat Germ, Split Peas or Lentils, Turkey and Rice

-Fruit / Vegetable: 2 to 3 Food serving Mixed with whole grain

Avocado and/or Applesauce, Baked Squash and/or Pears, Sweet Potatoes and/or Bananas, Green Beans and/or Peaches, Peas and Carrots and/or Apricots

- Dairy: 2 Tablespoons (Optional)

Whole milk Yogurt

 

Dinner

-Breast Milk/ Formula

-Whole Grains: 1 to 2 Food servings

¼ Roti, ¼ Brown Rice

-High Protein: 1 Food servings

Tofu Cubes, Rice Cereal or Chicken & Peach Delight, Oatmeal Cereal & Yogurt or Turkey, Barley Cereal, Lentil Baby Soup

-Fruit/Vegetable 2 to 3 Food Servings

Pear Sauce and/or Baked Squash, Mixed Vegetables, Sweet Potato Dices Coated w/ Wheat Germ & a Dash of Cinnamon, Avocado & Tofu Mush, Carrot Dices and Mashed Peas

- Dairy: 2 Tablespoons (Optional)

Whole milk Yogurt, Cheese, Paneer, Cottage Cheese

Teething Biscuits or Yogurt & Fruit, Fruits or Veggies in a Baby Safe Feeder, Apples Toast or Peaches Cream Cheese on Toast, Soft Cooked Apple Chunks, Pear Dices, Banana Slices Coated w/ Wheat Germ

 

Snack

Formula, Breast Milk

Fruit Juices (4 oz maximum during whole day)

Whole wheat crackers

Yogurt, Paneer cubes

Tofu Cubes

Bed time Feeding

-Breast Milk/ Formula

 

Daily Milk Intake

Breast Milk every 4 to 5 hours

Or, Infant Formula: 24 to 31 ounces

Dairy product (Whole milk Yogurt) limited amounts
