Daily Sample Menu Schedule for 6 to 8 months old babiesThe babies are ready for some solid foods. There is no set rules to feed babies. Every baby will eat on their own pace.
One Food serving is approximately ½ to 1 ounce. Start out with ½ Tablespoon of each solid food at a time. Do Not force feed baby Commercial Iron fortified rice cereals mixed with breast milk, formula or cooled boiled water. Pureed Vegetables Stewed or baked fruits Vegetables (pureed) Early Morning Waking-Breast Milk
Break Fast-Breast milk/Formula -Cereal/Grain: 1 Food Serving (Optional) Oatmeal Cereal, Rice Cereal, Oatmeal & Rice Cereal, Barley, Oatmeal, Rice, Barley Cereal Mix -Fruits: 1 Food Serving (Optional) mixed with cereal or separately Avocado, Bananas, Applesauce, Peaches, Pears Lunch-Breast milk/Formula -Cereal: 1 Food Serving (Optional) Rice Cereal, Barley Cereal, Tofu (mashed) with Wheat Germ or Oatmeal, Rice, Barley Cereal Mix, Split Peas or Lentils or Rice Cereal, Chicken and Rice or Barley Cereal -Fruit Vegetable: 1 to 2 Food Servings (Optional) Sweet Potato or Applesauce, Acorn Squash or Pears, Peas or Bananas, Green Beans or Avocado, Pumpkin or Sweet Potatoes, Organically grown: carrots, broccoli
