Baby Foods: 10 to 12 months old

This is the time when the infant should be eating 3 main meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) and about 3 or 4 snacks per day

 

Now, you can let your guard down. You don't have to mash or strain foods. The immune system has developed for most of the foods. The baby needs needs a lot more Calcium, Iron and Protein.

 

Vegetables Fruits

For  minerals and Vitamins, this is about time to start giving dark green vegetables, tomatoes, fresh uncooked fruits, and eggs.

 

Proteins

Provide good protein sources Chicken, Dried beans, eggs, Yogurt, Cheese

 

Finger foods

It is important to wean the infant away from the pureed foods. The infant needs food that need chewing.

Most of the food now is finger food. Fruits are sliced Bananas, pears, peaches, watermelon. cantaloupe, Roti or Naan, Toasts.

 

Milk

Breast milk every 4 to 5 hours, or Infant formula 24 to 31 oz

Cow's whole milk 2 Tablespoons per day
