Coffee float RecipeCoffee float is made with instant coffee, milk, ice cream and coke. This eliminates need to brew a double strength coffee |
||
| In mid 1960s, when I came to United States, drive-through restaurants were still a big part of American culture. People would go to A&W drive through just for their root beer floats. The diners served coffee floats. Traditionally, you would brew a double strength coffee, cool it and store in the refrigerator. When needed, fill a 16 ounce tall glass with 1 cup of coffee, 2 Tablespoons of heavy whipping cream, scoop of ice cream, and fill it with coke. The ice cream would be either Vanilla, Chocolate or Coffee. You can almost imitate the recipe.
Ingredients1. Instant Coffee: 1 level Tablespoon
MethodMix ingredients 1 through 3, blend with an electric blender fro 30 seconds. Pour in a tall 16 ounce glass. Add ice cream. Pour coke to fill the glass. |
