Anardaana (Pomegranate seeds) Churan Chooran Powder Recipe

In Ayurvedic Medicine, Chooran powder eaten before the meal to make it more digestible by activating digestive enzymes

 

Ingredients

1. Dried Pomegranate seeds: 8 teaspoons

2. Whole cumin seeds: 2 teaspoon

3. Kala Namak powder: 2 teaspoon

4. Black Pepper ground: ¼ teaspoon

5. Citric Acid: 1/8 teaspoon

6. Pure Cane sugar (Florida Crystals): 25 teaspoons

 

Method

We will prepare this powder in a food processor in Pulse mode

1. Add Pomegranate seeds and process to powder

2. Add Cumin seeds. Process to powder

3. Add remaining ingredients. Process to form a powder

4. Transfer the contents to a zip-lock bag or a Jar. You can in the refrigerator for about six months.

 

Use

Put a good pinch in your mouth before eating the main meal. It will activate salivary glands producing digestive enzymes
