This plant is also called as Safed (White) Bhangra due to white flowers. Another plant 'Widelia calendulacea' is called 'Pila (Yellow) Bhangra' due to its yellow flowers.
 

Ayurveda Properties

- Rasa: Pungent Bitter
- Virya: Heating effect
- Vipaka: Pungent
- Guna: Light Dry
- Dosha: Balances Vata and Kapha. May aggravate Pitta

- The root powder is used as a liver tonic to stimulate bile, treat cirrhosis
